This small unit serves to protect any household compressor-based appliance (for example refrigerators, freezers or air conditioners) against power fluctuations or interruptions. When the supply voltage falls below the pre-set limit, the Fridge Saver interrupts power to the appliance for a period of approximately 90-100 seconds. This provides enough time for the pressure in the system to decrease before re-starting the compressor, increasing the lifespan of the compressor motor.
